Monroe Fire Department - Administration
Jimmie R. Bryant is the Fire Chief for the City of Monroe. The administrative offices are located at 1810 Martin Luther King Drive in south Monroe. Office hours are from 07:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office is closed from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. each day. The administrative Division is comprised of the Fire Chief, Administrative Assistant to the Chief, Fire Chief's Secretary and two Administrative Clerks. The Administrative Division is responsible for overall operational management, planning, budgeting and evaluation of all personnel, resources, services and other programs. In addition it develops policies and procedures and coordinates emergency services with other local, state and national organizations. It further provides support counseling and citizen fire report processing. The Administrative Division constantly evaluates existing programs and national trends in order to enhance current service levels and decrease operational cost. Administration lastly is responsible for maintaining or improving the cities fire insurance rating which measures the major elements of a cities fire suppression system.
