The Fire Communications Division of the Monroe Fire Department provides a variety of support services to the department. The Division is comprised of the Chief of Communications and eleven Communication Officers. Personnel of the Division are responsible for processing all emergency and non-emergency requests for service which are received by the Fire Department and the Ouachita Parish E-911 System. Personnel of this Division maintain a constant file on the location and status of all equipment and apparatus. Also, when required, Communication Officers relocate these resources to provide adequate protection to all areas of the City of Monroe.
