Water Systems

"The City of Monroe Water System currently provides water service to more than 100,000 residents. Approximately 70% of the system's customers are within the City's corporate limits; however, the City also provides service to large areas within Ouachita Parish. The City's water system consists of three major components: (1) raw water supplying facilities, (2) water treatment facility, and (3) water storage and distribution facilities."

The Monroe Water System primary mission is the delivery of a clean potable water product in ample supplies that meets or exceeds all federal and state drinking water regulations for the customers of Monroe and surrounding areas.

The singular responsibility of the Water Division is service. The employees of the Water Division understand that "Our rewards in life will always match our service." Combine good service with good attitudes and personal integrity and a winning environment is created.

The Water Division accomplishes its mission through the operation of four separate groups:

  • Water Treatment
