Art fun camp is now over. For July, The Masur Museum of art is offering Studio Art Classes: "Bring on the Charcoal" is set for July 16-20. from 1:30-3 p.m., with Lissy Sanders Babb. Students will learn the technique of using charcoal to make contour and blind contour drawings. At the end of class, students will combine charcoal with paint to complete a mixed media painting. Ages 12 and up. Cost $80.00. All supplies provided.
"BE-jeweled" is scheduled for July 23-27, from 9-11:30 a.m. with Jamie Sumlin. Students will learn basic jewelry-making designs and techniques and will complete several "dazzling" pieces of jewelry. Cost $75.00. All supplies are provided.
COMING SOON: "How Do They Do That?" Thursday which is slated for July 26. 2-4 p.m. with Adam Davenport,. In the first of a new series planned to let visitors view how artists work, Adam Davenport will present a portrait painting demonstration. You are invited to come and watch how an artist paints a portrait from a live model start to finish. This extraordinary opportunity is FREE of charge.
