Powell Street Neighborhood Center Activities

1. Senior Citizen Activities - Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

2. After School Activity Program Daily - Teaches kids how to play together without arguing by interacting with Center Worker and playing together to enjoy themselves from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Monday - Friday and on Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (After school activities consist of pool, ping pong, foosball, play station and gym activities)

3. After School Tutorial Program – September through May, Monday - Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

4. Powell Center Summer Program - A six-week program beginning the first Monday in June through the second week in July from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

5. Community Youth Activity Sports (CYAS) Board Meeting - every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

6. Youth Basketball League – 2nd Saturday in January through 2nd Saturday in March

7. Senior Citizen Soul Food Festival - Third Tuesday in February at 11:00 a.m.

8. Senior Citizen Easter Program – Tuesday before Easter at 11:00 a.m.

9. Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Program – 2nd Tuesday in November at 10:00 a.m.

10. Senior Citizen Christmas Program – Third Monday in December at 11:00 a.m.

12. Summer Baseball Program mid-May to the end of June

13. Senior Citizen Father’s Day Program– Friday before Father’s Day 11:00 a.m. at Chennault Park

14. Youth Football League – Last Saturday in September through last Saturday in October

15. CYAS/PSCC Peer Counseling & Development Program – Monday thru Thursday 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
